Will it fit my car?
It fits most sedans, SUVs, trucks, and family cars. The straps adjust to both 4- and 5-seat layouts. The deck measures 52" long x 24.5" deep across the seat base, with 21.7" side walls that guard your doors. Measure the width of your back seat between the doors and compare. If it doesn't fit yours, send it back within 30 days for a full refund.
I have a truck or extended cab. Will it sag into the footwell?
That's the exact problem the rigid deck solves. Unlike fabric hammocks that stretch and drop into the gap, the board holds a flat surface across the full span. In extended cabs with a shorter rear footwell, tension the front straps before the side panels for the tightest fit.
My car only has ceiling grab handles on one side.
The side door panels can be run on one side only, or left down entirely. The deck and seat coverage work independently of the side panels, so you still get full protection either way.
How much weight does it hold?
Up to 400 lbs — comfortably fits two large dogs, or one very large dog with room to spare. The reinforced board is what keeps it stable instead of sagging like a soft hammock.
Can a person still sit back there?
Yes. The front section folds up so you can seat a passenger while your dog keeps the rest of the space. Full removal takes under a minute.
Can I attach my dog's harness?
Yes — there are built-in anchor points for a harness tether. Important safety note: never clip a tether to a neck collar. In a sudden stop it can become a choking hazard. Always use a body harness.
Is it waterproof and easy to clean?
Yes. It's built from multiple waterproof layers, so spills, mud and accidents sit on the surface instead of soaking through to your seats. Wipe it down with a damp cloth, or hose it off and let it air dry.
Does it smell when it arrives?
There can be a light manufacturing smell out of the box, like most new fabric products. Unfold it and air it out for a few hours and it clears on its own.
